Where to Eat in Reims Between Champagne Visits

The best restaurant in Reims for your day is the one that fits both the meal you want and the visits you have booked. Start with the part of the city, the style of lunch and the service day. A table that forces you to rush through a cellar appointment is a poor match, however appealing its menu.

How this shortlist was chosen

These five options cover distinct planning needs: lunch near the cathedral, a brasserie, a gastronomic restaurant, a combined house-and-meal experience and a restaurant at a Champagne house. Their official sites supplied the practical details below. This is a desk-researched shortlist, without claims of first-hand dining or a universal restaurant ranking.

Menus, service days and reservation conditions can change. The service window is not a promised meal duration. Tell the restaurant if you must leave for a timed visit, and ask which menu can realistically fit.

La Grande Georgette: keep lunch in the centre

La Grande Georgette is at La Caserne Chanzy, 18 rue Tronsson Ducoudray, beside the cathedral. The hotel publishes daily lunch service from noon to 2 pm and provides menus and a table-reservation link. Its terrace setting makes it a candidate when your city visit is an important part of the programme. La Caserne Chanzy: La Grande Georgette.

Ask for the current lunch menu and indoor or outdoor seating arrangements. A terrace photograph does not guarantee a particular table or suitable weather. Pair the meal with time in the centre, then leave a separate margin for reaching the next house entrance.

Le Jardin: a brasserie at Les Crayères

Le Jardin and Le Parc belong to the same estate but are different restaurants. Le Jardin publishes a three-course menu at €42 and daily lunch service from noon to 2 pm. Check the menu applicable to your date and any supplements when reserving. Les Crayères: Le Jardin.

This is a candidate if you want a brasserie meal while keeping the afternoon open for another visit. The restaurant accepts outside guests. Its official information offers vegetarian options on request; discuss allergies and other dietary needs in advance. Confirm the restaurant entrance and meeting point with your chauffeur.

Le Parc: give the meal its own space

Le Parc publishes lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday. Its official page describes a gastronomic restaurant and sets out a dress code excluding shorts, sandals and sports clothing. Check the current menu, price and exact service when making a reservation. Les Crayères: Le Parc.

Choose this when lunch is a main purpose of the trip. Ask how long your selected menu requires before adding an afternoon cellar slot. One house and a substantial meal may leave more room to enjoy the day than a longer list of stops. Share dietary requirements when booking.

Le Réfectoire: book the combined experience

Pommery advertises a €150 culinary visit lasting three hours, with a cellar tour, a meal at Le Réfectoire and three Champagne tastings. The described meal includes starter, main and dessert, with water and coffee. Use the specific culinary product to check the available date and meal service. Pommery: culinary visit.

Do not add those inclusions to a standard Pommery admission. If this is the experience you choose, avoid reserving a second full lunch elsewhere. Our Pommery guide compares the cellar-only and culinary formats.

Polychrome: reserve lunch at Taittinger separately

Taittinger’s restaurant Polychrome lists lunch from Thursday to Monday, 11:45 am–3:30 pm, with the last service at 1:45 pm. The published address is 9 place Saint-Nicaise, with entry through the cellar-visit entrance. Its official page provides a menu and a separate restaurant booking link. Taittinger: Polychrome restaurant.

This is an option when you want lunch at the same house as your visit. Confirm the table and cellar departure independently. Instant Gourmet’s food pairings do not establish a Polychrome restaurant reservation or a full meal. Check dietary needs, the selected menu and the time needed before adding another appointment.

Questions that make the reservation useful

  • Which menu is available at the lunch service on our date, and what is the total with drinks or supplements?
  • Can that menu fit between our arrival and our required departure?
  • Can you accommodate the allergies, dietary requirements and children in our party?
  • What access route, entrance and seating arrangements should we confirm?
  • What deposit, cancellation conditions or card guarantee applies?

For an illustrative pairing, choose a confirmed morning house visit, Le Jardin at a suitable lunch slot and a flexible city stop. For a city-led day, choose La Grande Georgette around time at the cathedral. Neither suggestion establishes travel time or availability.

Use the house comparison before finalising lunch, then bring the reservations into your Paris–Reims day-trip plan. Reims Van’s quotation will say who arranges the table and whether the meal is included or paid separately.
